Turning the Page

When the fish and leaves become the same color, that can only mean one thing in Western North Carolina…fall is here.  Later this week all of our local Delayed Harvest trout streams will receive hatchery support and this abundant, user friendly fishery means we probably won’t be hiking up to visit these little beauties nearly as much.  The good news is, if you are a newcomer to tenkara fishing, things are about to get a lot easier!   Fall is an awesome time to fly fish here and my October is booking up quickly.  (oh, and if you’d rather hike up amongst the fall colors to fish for Brookies…I’m always up for that.)
