There’s something especially satisfying about starting off the “work-week” fishing. It just feels like you’re getting away with something. Yesterday afternoon I did get away with this father-son duo of tenkara beginners. They caught on quickly, literally and figuratively. We had fish on pretty much from the first cast until we were afraid we might miss dinner. The best time to fish is…when you can. That said, there’s always a little more room on the streams on a weekday and you get that extra bit of fun in playing hooky. I’d recommend it.
