Perhaps Mao Tse-Tung wasn’t suggesting that tenkara was the best way to catch a Tiger Trout…but maybe he was! We caught this unusual beauty on Friday when he had the bad judgement to take a well presented nymph. Tiger Trout are a sterile cross between a Brown Trout and a Brook Trout and around here, mean something accidentally got mixed together at the hatchery. In spite of its inadvertent beginnings, it’s a lovely creature and a worthy catch.
