That’s the story here. Our severe drought continues here in western North Carolina with our local waters getting desperately low. Fortunately, I was out Friday with a good tenkara angler and we were able to sneak up on a few nice fish in the deeper spots on the river. Of course, when fish get concentrated like this, they are easy to find and tend to get a lot of fishing pressure. Over time this takes a toll on the fish and the fishing. We need rain, we need plenty of it and we need it soon.
